Dancing in the Streets

When was the last time that you genuinely let go?  We all know the saying: Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening…but how often do we truly bring this mantra of uninhibited action into our lives? Casey Illig and her team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus Airport have demonstrated that, when it comes to unbridled enthusiasm, they are the champions (and they’re not half bad dancers either). See for yourself!

This past week I had the pleasure of presenting the Fairfield with our quarterly Super Bowl Award – an accomplishment requiring a tremendous effort to be put forth not just by any one person, but by an entire team. The winners will be splitting a grand cash prize totaling $2,500, in addition to having the honor of housing one of the coveted Super Bowl trophies for the upcoming quarter.

At our celebration in Columbus, we were all inspired to leave our hesitations behind us by randomly drawing a style of dance ranging from ballet to break dancing, and embodying that style. Though I myself proved that a professional tap career is out of the question, inspiring performances were delivered by the rest of the team, including regional leads Dan Hebenstreit and Mitch Divens, the most graceful ballerina’s First Hospitality Group has to offer. Casey and her team truly brought out the performers in all of us and I know that a team so capable of inspiring sincerely deserves this award. Congratulations to Casey and team!
